Europe launches carbon footprint certification, raises export threshold for tailpipes

The European Union recently officially implemented the "New Environmental Protection Regulations for Two Wheeler Accessories", requiring motorcycle tailpipes entering the European market from 2026 to pass carbon footprint certification, and clarifying that the carbon emissions throughout the production process must be reduced by 20% compared to the 2023 benchmark value. Domestic enterprises are actively responding, and Aidele has reduced carbon emissions by 18% by optimizing the production process of aluminum alloy tail boxes; Marriott has introduced solar assisted production equipment to further reduce its carbon footprint.
