The modular motorcycle trunk technology developed by a technology company in Shenzhen has recently completed testing and is about to be put into commercial application. This technology enables the trunk to switch between multiple scenarios such as "storage load tool storage" through a detachable inner compartment partition and expansion layer design. During daily commuting, users can install an inner compartment with compartments to store helmets and riding gloves; When delivering takeout, replacing the insulated inner liner can transform it into an insulated box; During long-distance cycling, adding an expansion layer can increase the capacity from 40L to 55L, meeting the storage needs of large items.
Compared with traditional integrated tailpipes, the core advantage of modular design lies in flexibility, as users do not need to purchase multiple tailpipes separately for different scenarios. At present, this technology has applied for 5 national patents, and a certain motorcycle brand plans to apply it to the new motorcycle travel model to be launched next year. Market research shows that the 30-45 year old cycling group has a high acceptance of modular tailpipes, with about 62% of respondents willing to pay a reasonable premium for the "multi-functional adaptation" attribute.
